San Blas Bay Gozo

Located on the north-east coast of the island of Gozo, San Blas is a tiny, rocky bay set in secluded countryside below steep terraced hills at the end of a beautiful fertile valley.
Its sandy beach is of a reddish-golden colour similar to that of Ramla Bay and is often referred to as its miniature.
San Blas is accessible from the village of Nadur, but the final, steep part of the road is closed to traffic for safety reasons, so access to the beach is on foot for this last stretch - making it an extremely peaceful area. Lucky visitors may even find they have the beach to themselves. Naturally, as this is such a secluded beach there are no amenities here and there is only a small parking area with room for a couple of cars.
This beach is a favourite for picnics and is also a popular snorkelling spot, due to the many rocks and boulders on the peripheries of the bay.
The valley leading down to San Blas and the neighbouring inlet ‘Dahlet Qorrot' was a favoured hunting ground of the Knights. One of their coastal towers ‘Ta' Sopu' (1667) stands on the headland.
