Just a few minutes' drive away from Ghadira Bay, and on the northernmost point of the island is Paradise Bay, one of Malta's most picturesque beaches.
The bay is in a natural cove in quite a secluded spot off the main tourist trail but is easy to access via a path just outside Cirkewwa. Follow this path for 1km and you will reach a flight of steps leading down to the beach.
Smaller than Ghadira Bay, Paradise Bay appeals to a younger crowd and is the location of many a weekend beach party. Weekends do get pretty busy here so it's advisable to visit during the week to appreciate its crystal blue and turquoise waters at their tranquil best.
This site offers magnificent views, with rock formations on both sides of the sandy beach and is ideal for a relaxing swim. Despite its isolated location, there are plenty of facilities at this beach and it is excellent for snorkelling.
The nearby Paradise Bay Resort Hotel offers a diving school which is open all year round and has qualified instructors.
