Viva Aerial Dance Group to Perform at Rockestra

The Viva Aerial Dance Group will perform at this year's Rockestra at the MFCC with amazing aerial acrobatics with satin drapery and hoops. The group will perform to music played by the National Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Sigmund Mifsud on Saturday the 11th of September.
The Viva Dance Group has been performing internationally for 12 years and the performers have earned a reputation for producing group silk acts of the highest quality for both private and public functions. They have achieved international commendation after performances in the UK, China, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, France, Qatar, Dubai and on various television shows and films.
The creator of the Viva Aerial Dance Group, Michèle Lainé, practised gymnastics from a young age then became interested in the circus and live performances. For six years, she toured around the globe with Swamp Circus as an acrobatic dancer, trapeze artist and character clown, before finally specialising as a freelance aerialist in London. Michèle's recent work includes performing as Eva Green's stunt double in the film The Golden Compass and also working as a trapeze/body double for Kate Moss in the Rimmel Lash Maxx TV advertisement.
The co-creator of the Viva Aerial Dance Group, Jane Osborn, commenced her career in cabaret and production shows as a dancer. She toured around the world with the Dimitri Theatre Company for three years and performed in several circuses as a dancer before she began to train as an aerialist. Jane has taken part in various television advertisements, including flying in chocolate rain for Malteasers and tightrope walking for Norwich & Peterborough being just a couple examples.
