Popular low-cost airline Ryanair is expanding its routes to Malta in May and leading property experts believe that this will encourage growth for the island's burgeoning property market.
Later this year, Ryanair will provide two extra flights each week from Bournemouth and four extra flights per week from London Stansted. These additional flights are expected to boost traffic to the island in the form of more than 1million visitors each year.
This dramatic increase in tourism - as well as the increased jobs on the island as a result of the new routes - is expected to have a positive impact on the island's economy.
Ray Woods, the CEO of Malta Buy Property, said: "The growth of low-cost flights to Malta has been a major factor in boosting both tourism and sales of properties to overseas buyers from the UK and across Europe. With a flying time of three hours from the UK, it is within easy reach."
With such a wide selection of flights available to Malta from various UK airports, it's never been easier to travel to Malta and enjoy the breathtaking beauty the island has to offer.
