Malta has been chosen as the guest of honour for the 64th edition of the Foire de Châlons-en-Champage which began on Friday the 27th of August and will continue until Monday the 6th of September. The Conseil General de la Marne chose Malta for the significant role for the distinguished event, which is only shadowed by the world famous Salon de l'Agriculture, the exhibition of French agricultural produce which takes place every year.
George Pullicino, the Rural Affairs Minister is predicted to be at the event tomorrow to visit the Malta stand, which has been a great success with visitors so far, and meet the decision-makers of the region. He is also expected to meet several cooperatives of the region and discuss the agro-alimentary industry and the cooperation within it.
From the Malta stall, those interested are provided with a wide range of information on tourism and investing in Malta, not forgetting the opportunity to enjoy traditional Maltese food based on bread, tomatoes, olive oil, goats' cheese, pastry and fish. The visitors who have never been to Malta will also be greeted with the chance to appreciate the typical Maltese stone which is currently being exhibited by a France-based Maltese company.
