Describing itself as a "unique international sports-themed venue" the Portside Lounge is a comfortable bar located in the Strand, minutes from Sliema's shopping centre.
At over 300 square metres, the lounge has plenty of space for its clientele to enjoy the live sporting events that are shown on sixteen screens via seven live satellite feeds.
Portside has a well-stocked bar, a number of different seating areas, an extensive gaming area and two American standard pool tables. When there are no major sports events showing the bar plays a variety of music and shows the main news channels. The hosts are happy to accommodate any requests from customers for particular sports events as well as any pay per view events like live boxing matches.
The staff at Portside are fun and friendly and the bar has an up-beat, lively atmosphere. Snacks are served all day and from 11.00 am until late there is a full menu of tasty food including Maltese platters, salads, traditional ftiras (Maltese bread) and bruschetta.
