This may not be the most imaginatively named bar in Malta but, for Simon's Pub regulars, it is certainly one of the best.
Since opening its doors in 1982 the pub has gained a reputation for its great atmosphere and Simon's collection of bric-a-brac.
Located in the centre of Sliema, Simon's Pub is aimed at the young, and the young at heart. The vibe is relaxed but fun and many of the clientele have been coming to the pub for years so there is a really friendly atmosphere.
The bar serves great beers, fine wines, boasts the "best cocktails" around and serves appetizers for those feeling peckish and all for very reasonable prices.
One of the biggest talking points about the pub though is Simon's huge display of, quite frankly, bizarre, collectibles. Every spare inch of wall and ceiling space accommodates everything from Victorian fire extinguishers to ship's portholes. The fascinating assortment of articles really adds to the pub's affable feel and provides endless talking points.
Simon's Pub is a popular live music venue and is well known for its annual fundraising ‘Musicfest'. This festival showcases up and coming local and foreign musicians whilst raising money for charity.
