The Barracuda restaurant is one of Malta's most well known and long standing fine dining venues.
Many factors contribute to this popularity and longevity; the beautiful building has magnificent views and is in the upmarket area of St. Julian's seafront, the food and service are both top notch and when you also consider that the restaurant has served many celebrities including David Beckham, Orlando Bloom and Sir Alex Ferguson, it is no wonder that Barracuda is so appealing.
The Barracuda, as its name suggests, is predominantly a seafood restaurant with an emphasis on Mediterranean fish and seafood specialities. However, don't worry if seafood isn't your thing. The restaurant also has a good choice of succulent meat and poultry dishes as well as vegetarian options. Desserts range from warm apple and walnut strudel, iced yogurt to classic Crepes Suzettes which are flambéed at your table.
The restaurant is housed in a stunning eighteenth-century building which stands majestically, if seemingly precariously, on the water's edge. The dining area is a blend of contemporary cream décor and elegant furnishings and the open-air veranda, jutting out directly over the cobalt blue of the Mediterranean Sea below, is a magical place to enjoy an incredible meal.
